Of painting SPEECH, and speaking to the eyes?
That we by tracing magic lines are taught,
How to embody, and to colour THOUGHT?”

GREETINGS COMRADES!
If you’ve been receiving our emails and keeping track of recent announcements, you’ve probably already seen the announcements for our next Exit Strata Collaborative Content Salon this coming weekend, but for those of you just tuning in…
We are very excited to announce and invite you to our Exit Strata Spring CoCo [Collaborative Content] Salon in preparation for PRINT! VOL 3 on  Sunday, April 21st at SPACE SPACE in NYC, in which contributors from each issue to date will come together with community members from all disciplinary backgrounds to collaboratively create pieces for publication in the upcoming Exit Strata PRINT! Vol. 3, as well as for consideration in our first curated show, which will open June 14th at Launchpad Brooklyn in conjunction with the upcoming issue launch.
We are particularly interested, for this issue, in considering issues of translation, transmutation, and language forms across media, as well as the textual/visual/sonic/physical (etc) manifestations of these transmissions as they travel between and betwixt our minds, bodies, mouths, and hands, from creator to audience and back again, through collaboration and the mind that is every and no mind that we find there.
You are invited to bring an object as a jumping off point and/or a piece of your own that you are willing to invite translations of via a range of media and interpretation, as well as materials of every and any type. We work at a variety of scales.
Come meet, get inspired, enter metamind, and meet potential collaborators for your own work beyond the Exit Strata…
We’ve been getting a lot of questions on what participants should bring… and our answer is simply YOURSELF! But also, ART SUPPLIES. We will have a stockpile of art supplies available at the event, but feel free to bring pens, colored pencils, markers, paint, paint brushes, ink pads, stamps, magazines (for cut-outs), stencils, rulers, and anything else from your own private stash. Also, BRING FOOD or DRINK or so on as you wish! We will have libations but as we charge only a pay-what-you-will fee we are limited in our resources, so please contribute comestibles pot luck style if you are able!
When: Sunday, April 21st
What time?: 1 pm to 6 (ish) — exercises *are* time bound, so if you can do try to arrive on time! after some warm ups we will be working together on projects that have a particular temporal arc. Of course, we would rather have you than not have you, so do drop in for part of the time if you are not able to come for the entire session.
Where it’s at: SPACE SPACE – 390 Seneca Avenue, Ridgewood NYC
The lovely folks at SPACE SPACE once again welcome us in their home for the day (Thank you Ada et al!), which is just past the Bushwick border off the Jefferson or DeKalb L train stops.
The CoCo salon will be held from 1 pm – 6 pm (and can go longer!) ** you are welcome to bring your wee ones if you so please **
PLEASE send us an email to RSVP so we know how many to expect:

ps One last note and disclaimer: the collaborative work created at the Exit Strata salons is made with the intention of publication and community dissemination and service. This is not a workshop from which you should expect to take home individual pieces though that happens on rare occasions. We believe we have infinite possibilities of collaborative and personal creation that can be inspired in these settings and while we appreciate your love for the pieces you create in these sessions we reserve the right to hang on to them at least through the next publication cycle. We are happy to discuss the use and dissemination of work created in these sessions beyond that understanding on a case by case basis. Thanks for understanding!
