wltw_schedWomen Love the World: A three day festival and fundraiser celebrating women artist-activists and their contributions to bettering our world community.
We are proud to announce Women Love the World (WLTW), a festival co-curated by Caits Meissner, Karla Rodriguez and Lehna Huie, featuring a visual art exhibition, art for social change panel, short film screenings, live music, poetry and on-site activism engagement. Held during Women’s History Month, on the evenings of March 20-22, 2013 at LaunchPad Brooklyn, WLTW is dedicated to the journeys of women artists who live as activists, healing our world daily.
Our traditions, stories and history throughout time are transmitted through our creative expressions, and we believe in the power of art as resistance and social commentary. Women Love the World is a momentum in creating awareness within a revolutionary space by honoring our women.
This call is to invite you to engage in a dialogue of the diversity of our experiences through the following events:

With a sliding scale door entry fee of $5-$20, this event  will also serve as fundraiser. All proceeds will be donated back into the LaunchPad community space, as well as gifted to PhotoForward and Da Urban Butterflies, two grassroots organizations benefiting women locally and globally.
